About

At Spring Street Climate Fund, we run strategic, effective campaigns to win transformative climate policy that can accelerate progress in New York and scale to other states and the country as a whole.

At Spring Street we focus on one question: who benefits? Whose lives get better in the near term if we win our campaigns? Then, we work to organize those people. Who benefits from cheap, clean energy? Utility customers. Who benefits from clean buildings and fossil fuel-free homes? Tenants who need clean air and co-op owners who need public support to secure energy-efficient homes that are cheaper to operate.

And beyond. We organize constituencies of New Yorkers whose daily lives will improve through access to lower energy bills, modern housing, and cleaner air. We are making the case that when climate policy is rooted in improving our daily life, we can win broad public support and drive lasting, scalable change. We are turning our climate goals into clear political winners, by showing who benefits from our work.

In this high-stakes political environment, We are in a fight not only for the planet but also for our democracy and some of our core values as a people. We are building Spring Street to be one piece of the answer to all of these challenges together.

Each of our priority campaigns represents an opportunity for New York to do ambitious work on climate policy that will make a difference worldwide.
