Social Media Contractor For Spring Street Climate Fund

Background: At Spring Street Climate Fund, we run strategic, effective campaigns to win transformative climate policy in New York. Our approach focuses on winning tangible policy victories that improve people's daily lives – with lower utility bills, cleaner air, and healthier homes.
As our campaigns and organizing grow, we are seeking an experienced social media specialist to help expand our online presence across Spring Street and our affiliated constituencies, including the Green Co-op Council and Utility Customers Association. We are looking for a collaborative partner who can help us build our audience, increase online engagement, and strengthen our ability to shape public conversations around our priority campaigns.
Proposed Scope of Work:
Develop strategy
Help develop Spring Street's social media strategy, voice, and visual identity.
Develop recommendations for engaging key audiences on priority platforms,
Meet regularly with Spring Street staff to discuss strategy, assess progress, and coach on best practices.
Create content
Co-create and maintain a content calendar.
Create content, including copy, graphics, polls, and short-form video.
Collaborate with campaign staff to support organizing, advocacy, and public actions through social media.
Help identify timely opportunities for rapid response.
Build audience
Build Spring Street's audience through organic growth and strategic engagement.
Help support building relationships with key accounts, including elected officials, coalition partners, members of the news media, and relevant influencers.
Track engagement and recommend adjustments to improve reach and effectiveness.
